Renewable Energy Fund Non-Residential Sector Competitive Grants Program History:

In 2010, the General Court passed House Bill 1270 (HB 1270), which amended RSA 362-F:10 to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) no later than March 1, 2011, and annually thereafter for non-residential renewable energy projects that are not eligible to participate in incentive and rebate programs developed under RSA 362-F:10, V and RSA 362-F:10, VIII. The first RFP was issued on February 25, 2011, and the Program has awarded grants in each subsequent year.

Non-Residential Grant Program Information:

The RFP seeks proposals to increase the supply of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) from thermal renewable energy or certain other non-photovoltaic electric renewable energy projects located in New Hampshire. Specifically, projects that will be eligible to generate Class I, Class I Thermal, or Class IV Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) are eligible to apply.

Solar photovoltaic projects, and projects or portions of projects that are eligible to apply for a rebate under the DOE’s Commercial & Industrial (C&I) bulk-fed wood pellet central heating system rebate program are not eligible for funding under this Non-Residential grant program.
