New Hampshire has a number of programs to help homeowners and businesses increase the efficiency of their buildings, saving energy and money and reducing environmental pollution.

The New Hampshire electric and natural gas utilities, in consultation with the NH Public Utilities Commission and other interested parties, offer a variety of energy efficiency rebates. CORE Business Energy Efficiency Program

New Hampshire electric and natural gas utility business customers can take advantage of their company's energy efficiency products and services. Community Development Finance Authority Clean Energy Fund

CDFA will help businesses, towns and non-profits navigate the energy investment financing process.

DOE Better Buildings Financing Navigator

A web-based financing navigator to help private and public sector organizations discover financing solutions that meet their unique needs.

Industrial Energy Efficiency Program

The federally-sponsored Industrial Assessment Center (IAC) at the University of Massachusetts provides eligible manufacturers with a no-cost efficiency analysis of their plant and process operations, with the goal of reducing energy and waste costs by increasing manufacturing productivity.

New Hampshire Rural Renewables Grant Program

Lakes Region Community College (LRCC) is currently managing the grant that provides development assistance to rural small businesses in New Hampshire. They have a informational brochure called the Financial Incentives for Commercial Sustainable Energy in New Hampshire

Municipal and Non-profit Energy Efficiency Programs

  • The New Hampshire Community Development Finance Authority (CDFA's) Municipal Energy Reduction Fund assists municipalities with efficiency upgrades.

  • Database of State Incentives for Renewables and Efficiency (DSIRE) is the most comprehensive source of information on incentives and policies that support renewables and energy efficiency in the United States. Established in 1995, DSIRE is currently operated by the N.C. Solar Center at N.C. State University, with support from the Interstate Renewable Energy Council, Inc. DSIRE is funded by the U.S. Department of Energy.
